What airport should I fly into?

For any far out of town guests we recommend flying in O'Hare Airport (ORD)

What time should we arrive?

We recommend guests arrive 15-30 minutes before the ceremony to find your seats and enjoy the moment together.

Do I have to pay in advance for rooms?

No, when you book your rooms, guests will need to provide a credit card to hold the reservation. The card will not be charged in advance and you can switch the method of payment when you check in.

Can I choose any of the dates in the block and stay only for 1 or 2 days?

Correct, the largest date range is selected by default, however, guests can change the dates on the booking link page to what they need. The room block is from Thursday, July 3rd to Monday, July 7, 2025.

What is the difference between the Hilton Garden Inn and the Residence Inn?

The hotels are next door to each other and managed by the same company. The Hilton Garden Inn is a standard hotel (either a King or 2 Double bed) room and the Residence Inn features suites with a small kitchen, living area and separate bedroom/bath. If you are staying longer, you may want to book the Residence Inn. Residence Inn also includes breakfast in the rate.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 2 days before arrival.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes! There is free parking at Armour House for guests who drive.

Can you explain what food is available in the hotels(s)?

At the Hilton Garden Inn, there is a restaurant on site that is open for breakfast and dinner.

At the Residence Inn, there is no restaurant on site, however there is free breakfast every morning for guests staying at the Residence Inn.

There are plenty of great restaurants just a few minutes up the road at Melody Farms

What about transportation?

Both hotels will have a free shuttle to and from the wedding at Armour House at Lake Forest Academy. It is only a few minutes away from the hotels
